In February of 2003, Peter and Lucy Tremayne made the decision to move Downunder, at least for part of each year ... the warmer part! We became the proud owners of the most southerly house in Western Australia, situated on Vancouver Point near Albany ... at Latitude 35 degrees south. It was no co-incidence that the location had the same name as our previous city of residence in SW Washington state. In 1791 the great British navigator, Captain George Vancouver, watered his two ships on the beach below where this house now stands. This visit occured during the early stage of his historic voyage of discovery to the Pacific Northwest of America.
After five wonderful years on the beach, we decided to return to the USA on a permanent basis, but it was with great sadness that we parted with the house and the many close friends we'd made in the Albany region.
